Online dating ???

compared to the "natural process( live through life someone will come, or find someone in your everyday life)" isn't it much easier to go out and find someone through online compatibility dating site??? since everyone on there has the same purpose.. seemingly much more positive and ready to get anything that appears good??? your opinion please thanks

there are pros and cons to online dating. the cons are what many people tend to point out who have not actually tried it. like people lieing, or distant issues. But the pros are you know that person is interested in meeting someone so right off you 2 are on the same page. online dating has benefits because you talk to the person a lot more so you really get a sense of the things they like and what not. plus with there is a lot of technology now, that makes it easier to know if they are telling the truth about themselves. such as web-cam chatting, personal photos like with family and friends, etc. plus, you don't have to spend money on a date trying to get to know someone.. online dating can be free.. so when you do actually meet, hopefully your money will be well spent and you'd already have enough in common to talk about. one success story, my sister got married to someone she met online, now they are happily married with 3 kids :)

Reply:People have an easier time of lying when they don't have to see you face to face. I'm a believer in actual contact vs. the Internet. Call me old-fashioned...
Reply:I think online dating is a great resource if it fits you well. Why don't you give it a try - honestly what do you have to lose? Ya sure ppl can lie online - but ppl can lie just as easily sitting at a bar at a local club when they are loaded drunk.


I would rather met someone online personally. I know alot of ppl who have had success with this. I actually met my husband on Yahoo Chat we have been married 7 years and have 3 kids together.


I am sorry but the 'natural process' of meeting ppl can take alot of time and wasted energy...you want something in life - go out and get it - be proactive and take it by the horns and who knows what may happen!

Trust me... all you can get are fat chicks that sound cute on the phone.
Reply:On the internet it's easier to lie and sugar coat things. Someone can easily hide a fatal flaw or make you think they are someone they're not. Online dating works for some people, but usually it's just a waste of time and that could be spent elsewhere.
