Online dating?

Okay, has anyone ever actually had a GOOD experiance with the online dating scene. No bad experiances please I have heard enough of those.

Online dating?
I've gone out with a number of guys in recent years, that I originally met online. No bad experiences, and a lot were fun dates. No long term relationships from it for me, but my best girlfriend has been living with a guy for a year now that she originally met online, and another girlfriend of mine has been married a year and a half to a guy she originally met online...





I know many such stories...in fact, although I've heard plenty of the 'horror' stories, I've never met anyone in person who has experienced anything so negative.
Reply:Um no it's as pointless as social gatherings have fun with that online dating stuff.

Reply:I had a couple of fun dates that came from online dating. You just have to be careful and be very selective. There are good people out there who really just want to have fun and that's really what it's all about. I have heard of success stories from online dating but like I said before just be very careful!
Reply:Yeah me and my girlfriend met and dated over the internet for almost a year then I went out to visit her (she lives in cali and I lived in Pa) We hit it off in person and 2 months later I moved out to cali and we are currently engaged, living together and planing to get married in 1 year 9 months.
Reply:I have had a good online dating experiance we dated for 2 years and no we are very close friend i love him to death steal but we where just not right for each other but it does work his brother who is a year older then him got married to a girl he meet online and the are steal together now
Reply:I am a Jehovahs witness and online dating is sure to be dangerous! the person might lie and say they are a good person but when they meet with you they are a total opposite!! dont do it!dont risk your life!

When I tried it, I met a handful of nice, perfectly decent guys I didn't have any chemistry with. Became friends with some of them. I didn't meet any axe murderers or anything. :-)
Reply:I've had some fun dating on line. It ended as all things do, but it was fun while it lasted.
Reply:if the person is trustworty and nice, then its perfect, but they r not truth always.

my three of my friends went through match.com and one of them married a Doctor and now have a baby.


Another is dating this really awesome guy who treats her soo good and are now living together.... finally my last friend also has married a great guy and have started a family.





there are many many stories, you need to first know what you want and dont waste time with guys/ girls who are just having fun...
Reply:I met a woman online and we "dated" for 19 months in which (no exaggeration) we spend typically 6 hours per day chatting. It completely turned my life upside down. I almost lost my business because we were at opposite ends of the time zone. She wanted to chat in the morning (her time) but for me it was midnight and I had to work the next day. Somehow, I managed to make that work but it wasn't at all easy. It became an obsession mainly I think because she lived so faraway. She was in the Philippines, and I was in L.A. It was without doubt, the most intense, emotional, infuriating and frustrating relationship I'd ever been in in my entire life. She constantly doubted my intentions and every so often told me that if this relationship didn't go somewhere soon, that she doubted it ever would but, she did not understand what my life in the US was like. Hers was so much different than mine.





Long, long, long story short . . .we are now both, in the Philippines and I gave it all up just to be with her. We have 2 kids, and are completely happy. It does work but it needs ultra TLC and commitment.
