Online Dating?

Some people on yahoo or other chatroom web sites want or already have a boyfriend or girlfriend online. I think that that is kinda dumb because they will probably never see them or know if they are real. I want to know what other people think.

Sight unseen! You can't tell who you are writing to, even if they send you a picture, you don't know if it is them. There are all kinds of predators out there!

Reply:Online dating? Well, I think it's ok to start out online and then move to the "real" world. But yeah calling that person that you only met online your b/f is just immature.
Reply:People get sucked into a fantasy. Married people can have relationships and soothe their consciences by saying its not really cheating because they never touch. Shy people use it to come out and be what they would never be in person. Ugly people use it because they can't get a date in real life.
Reply:Well i happen to think its worth my time. im in a onine relationship. its going pretty well. i like it because you get to know the person on the indisde first. and dont just base them on their looks. if your seroius like my boi and i. you will meet. just make a plan.

Reply:Well u see, they are players out there. Thats why they have a online girl and a real girl friend. Ur right that is stupid to do. U should only have one partner. I met my girl online. Its been hard at times, because its long distance, but when u meet them and get to know them and like everything, then all is good. No matter where u met them at from the start

Reply:Well, with on-line only relationships, it's true, you REALLY don't know who you are actually chatting with. I won't continue to chat with anyone who can't send me recent pictures. You have to trust your gut instincts and decide if the person is being honest or is just a sham. But sometimes it really doesn't matter and it just becomes all about the fantasy and if it satisfying to you.
