Online Dating???

What do you think about meeting people online? Are the relationships real? Do they last? Should marriages break up because of them? Just wondering everyones opinion on the subject.

Online Dating???
I met my husband online. Yes, they do work, however I dont recommend people who are involved in relationships already to meet people online. The grass is always greener on the other side, and its hard to meet people online, not to mention bringing another person in the mix.

All depends on the person really. Sometimes people see chatting up people on-line as "harmless". However, if it becomes obsessive or there is deceit involved I would see how it could effect a marriage. Emotional affairs are still affairs.


There will always be people on-line who use this as a mask to be who they wish they were as well as a haven for predators.
Reply:I met my now girlfriend through this actually to be honest, she asked if anyone wanted to become her new mate, I replied with my email address and it started from there, not only did I email at the right time because she was about to log off yahoo for ever (jump of the Albany Freewway bridge-Perth WA) but we have gone from being close mates to being in a full on relationship, she's comming down here for good (Tasmania) on November 10, so I dont even have 2 weeks to wait now, we're moving to the north west here within the next month and then have christmas with my family......we love eachother to peices and talk to eachother littreally every single day, not only on mobile but email too, works bueatifuly and neither of us have any regrets about meeting this way....





So long as you have trust in someone and feel that a relationship can work then give it a go......we also have plans to get hitched and travel the world before having kids by the time I'm 25, I'm now 18....

Reply:I tried online dating. Now I feel like an Idiot. I dated a guy for five months thinking that he had a genuine interest in me then later found out he was just recently married. Isn't that horrible. I broke up with him of course, any man who cheats has no respect for me! He claimed the marrage had soured. I personally think he just wanted to have his cake and eat it to.





Oh, by the way I met him on myspace. Myspace is an awful place to met guys. I'm thru with online dating and I thru with Myspace.





Be careful if you decide to try Online Dating, there are a lot of selfish and insecure phonies there.
