Online dating?

I have been chatting with this guy on and off for about 5 years he seems perfect. We get along great talk on the phone for hours. Is it safe to fall in love over the internet? Has anyone ever met some one online and had it worked out?

Yes, there have been many that have had success from on line match making sites. I'm not one of them, I thought I was but I couldn't handle the fact she was married to a bi-sexual and he thought it was fine for him to get off on other guys on line but she couldn't. We had a great time while it lasted and I still have nothing but good feelings for her but her soon to be ex is too much for her to handle and I refuse to accept him in any shape or form.
Reply:No, it's not. Internet is safe and you can do what you want but once you meet the person. His mind or his fantasy dispappear and it's reality. Meet and date and you will see it for yourself.
Reply:Someone I used to work with met her now husband via a dating site - so it can happen. But rememeber, if you've never met in person you can't possibly expect it to work in the real world.
Reply:well ive had an internet relationship and a phone relationship. if you just talk to him on the internet you probably shouldnt fall in love cause its easy to get away with cheating. over the phone is ok mine lasted 4 months. we never really saw eachother either. but you can only fall half in love because you can never get the satisfaction of waking up to his face the next day you cant kiss him he cant hold you. so unless you meet him your only halfway in love

Reply:I am currently dating a man I met through match.com and he is the best boyfriend I have EVER had. I think it can work. I have also met other guys online where there was nothing there when you meet in person. It's all chance.





I say meet him because if you don't you will never know. But be safe and meet in a public place that you are comfortable in and know the surroundings. Make it a quick coffee date and go from there. You can always hang out longer if it works out. :-)
