Online Dating?

I have had 2 long term relationships, 1 for 4yrs and another 4, 5 yrs (serious ?), I don't have trouble meeting guys, however I'd like to get to know a guy better before I do anything. I live in the country %26amp; know heaps of people, but I just want to meet some1 outside the scope, uno, I hate every1 knowing my business especailly the x's. I was thinking of doing some online dating, but I feel funny about it. Does anyone think it's desperate? Cause I think why a guys on there, is it because they haven't found the right 1 or they just can't get any? Whose had a good experience?

Online Dating?
I met two of the most awesome guys online and I have remained friends with them over the years. They live in S. Africa and Italy and both of them have come to the USA to see me. I say go for it...but always be careful, because we do have crazies out there too!!!
Reply:ive never really liked the club/pub/bar scene and have used online dating --- i have met some very nice people face to face and we got on well the spark did not stay --- then i met my lady and i do not want to be with anyone else --- no its not desperate its just another way to meet people --- of course sometimes they are a little further away than you expect --- for me its about 16,000 km so we have yet to meet ---- have fun

Reply:I don't think its desperate, its just that some people are shy and like you said maybe haven't found the right person. There are decent people online just not a lot of them.

ppl don really use their "true identity", meaning they would ask in ways they probably couldnt in real life.


so if u were to hook up with some1 online, then meet them, they would seem pretty different

I met my husband almost 6 years ago on a dating site. Most people I know seem to be meeting online. Go for it -- it's worth a shot!!
