has anyone ever tried online dating? and has it worked out for you?

i have met 2 people on line ..one was a major disaster stalker type that was awful but the other one turned into a 3 year relationship that even though its ended now i would do all over again sometimes its worth it...but always be safe never ever meet anyone for any reason alone always take a friend with you.
