Reply:Well, I live in New York, and it's something that everyone does. It's no big deal when you're livng in the city, because we see it as a fun way to meet a variety of different people. I've dated so many interesting guys, lawyers, doctors, cops, musicians (one famous these days...yes online!!!), and they were completely normal. I do suggest not to do it in a small town, because I believe it's not as fun and the expectations are much higher. Here in New York, people are crazy whether or not you meet online. We do it because we're too busy to spend all night at a dark lounge talking it up with someone that once you flip the bright lights on them....look a HOT MESS!!! I suggest that you take your time and don't meet them immediately. Meet them like a friend , which will make it easier to let them down if it's not going to work out. So as one woman that lives that "Sex in the City" lifestyle, yeah, it's cool. Just don't throw all your eggs in one basket. You have to continue living an active life, party and meet people in variety of ways.
Reply:Well for women it's scarey because you never know who you are really meeting. The guy could say he's one person while being another and with all those predators out there its kind of scarey to think of who you may end up with.

Reply:I don’t think lonely and desperate women use online dating services. Many of us run successful buinesses and have children too, so how exactly do we meet men. Our lives are full and complex, so online dating provides us with a safe and steady way of meeting men and gives us the time we need to get to know them first.

Reply:I don't like it all, it's full of recently people who are recently out of a serious relationship or worse married. These are people who are usually on the rebound just looking for a quick hookup. You can't find out who the real person is because they are usually hiding behind a computer screen. Whatever happened to running into someone on the street and striking up a conversation? If I'm interested in someone, I will ask them out on a date, so what if they turn me down. Don't be afraid of the outcome, just take a chance ask someone out.
