Is online dating just totally ineffective?

Does anyone think that online dating is totally ineffective? I tried match.com and am giving up after being on it for less than a month. I talked extensively to three women and even met one of them. The other two simply stopped talking to me. WTF? What did I do? I don't think I came off badly. I think online dating is a lot like baseball in which the best players only get a hit like 30% of the time at bat. Where is a good place for a single man in his early 30's to meet women in person and hopefully form a relationship? Maybe God meant for me to be single, I don't know. But online dating seems to be a load of crap.

Is online dating just totally ineffective?
I know a few couples that have met on line and are now married and your parents. Like in real life you have to be very selective and the trick is to not chat too long. The person meets your criteria then meet right away for coffee that way you will eliminate people that sends fake pictures. Use common sense, if the person doesn't want to give you their home number or only are available on Sunday mornings it should ring a bell something is fishy.





You have to portray someone serious to be attracting someone serious and do not lower your standards ever.
Reply:Online dating is for insecure people, the best way to date is to get out in the real world and be a man. Besides you never know who in the hell you are really talking to. So yeah I would say it's a bunch of crap!

Reply:Maybe you justhve not found the right person meant for you. Most of the time, online dating does not work. Personally, i think some of the people in Match.com are just lonely and looking for friends who they think can fill the empty spaces...Have you tried or asked friends to set you up???

Reply:I was on yahoo personals on and off for about a yr, i met a couple of guys but nothing serous, then this last time i actually paid almost $100 for like 3 months and on the second month i met this guy, which is not my husband, we been married almost 7 months and its great, all you gotta do is have patients and you are gonna meet the right person, i know it gets frustrating but it pays off at the end. Reply:yea the online thing really ain't gonna work. Meeting someone on a telephone chatline probably wont work either. cuz u have no idea what that person looks like. Basically the best thing for u to do is to go 2 clubs or bars, or maybe even find a place to try speed dating n c how that works out for u
Reply:It's only been a month! Did you give up on trying to meet people the old fashioned way in just a month? Don't give up just yet...there's tons of ways to meet people..Start with your friends! Go out to bars, clubs, get togethers..network with people through work.





I'm sure God hasn't meant for you to be single...just be PATIENT. The most fabulous girl will come along when it is time.
Reply:Online dating has its advantages and disadvantages it just depends on if u really wanna go throught with it. online dateing depends on the person and if they wanna go through and if u cant still feel good about the relationship even though u cant be with the person.
