ok so i met this guy in a chat room and we really hit it off. he lives in a different state but hes pretty much what im looking for in a guy. we've been talking for 3 months or so now and when we do talk we talk for hours not even realizing how late it is. im scared im getting wayy too attatched and i dont want to get hurt. any advice on what i should do?

The two of you need to decide if your ready to take it to the next level, since your in different states this may mean an occasional visit between the the two of you. Think about your priorities, are you ready to to carry on a long distance relationship, (which can be emotionally draining) Are you secure enough to trust someone that's so far away from you? All these questions and more have to answered before you can move to the next level.

But um, I'd ask him to visit.
If he won't do it, try to get over him.
Don't waste your time on someone who won't take a risk to come see you.
