Online dating?
It's just you :)
I met someone online and he was everything it said and he looked like the pics he posted. Of course people will post the best shots of them but there's nothing wrong with that. Everyone want to look good. As far as lack of things to talk about...that's a personality problem, not an online dating sites fault.
Reply:YOu know I got really lucky, I met someone online and she was everything she said. I felt bad I didn't hold up my end...lol
Reply:Not true!! True story, my fiance and i met online. We were both upfront with each other from the beginning however it began as a friendship. We were friends for about 6 months, talking on and off every once in a while. He asked me out on dates all the time and i declined because quite frankly, i was nervous because of the way i met him. However, eventually i agreed to meet him somewhere (I drove my own car and he drove his own) and it turns out we hit it off pretty well. Nothing was forced, we didn't find ourselves with nothing to talk about it. IT was just natural. We've been together for 2 years and soon to be married so it worked out well for us!!
Honestly, i think meeting online before meeting someone in person, (at least for a woman) makes you connect with a person other than physically right away. Because for example, you meet someone at a bar, or wherever, the first think you associate with that person is their looks because thats the first thing you see. NOw, based on this, you may or may not give this person a chance. YOu may build stereotypes simply because of how they look. When you meet someone online, yeah you have a photo but you are forced to connect with them on a personality level because thats really the first impression you have, not so much the looks.
Reply:I agree..... that's why I'm done with online dating.... I personally think it's pretty crazy.
