Online dating?

Do you think the stuff like eharmony is for real.......I mean ....I don't know what the deal is with that stuff?

Online dating?
It is definatly for real. I have been on Match.com %26amp; American Singles, And my personal favorite Yahoo Personals. I met one guy who I dated for two years. I have many what I call "meet %26amp; greets" Quick dates just to see if there is any reason to see each other again. Often things don't go past there. I have dated some wonderful men. I have also met some real loosers.

Some of the guys have ended up as good friends. I know several of my frirends have kids who married their spouces from online meetings. My daughter met her man 5 minutes after putting her profile on Yahoo Personals up. She got a messege from a guy, met him the next day and they have been together for close to three years now. They have a wonderful little one year old boy.

At my age I just don't meet single men my age in my day to day life. So, I have dates with guys from Yahoo. This is a great way to connect with other singles without going to bars.

I never been to E Harmony so I can't speak for them, but the places I have been have introduced me to some wonderful men.

Always meet in a public place, don't plan a long date. Just coffee is good. Have an excuse to leave if it isn't working out. If it is a no go from your end.......send the guy a note saying....:"you are a very nice man, but I don't think we are a match".

We are in a new world. Internet Dating is part of that world.
Reply:Yes, its real, but its also a scam. They want your credit card to actually hook up with people.

However, a real site is http://www.okcupid.com because they are TOTALLY FREE. No credit cards at all are needed.

MOST all of the others lure you into creating an elaborate profile and as soon as you try to send an email, they block you with a "Enter credit card" page. Not only that, but if you do pay them the money, you don't know if the other person paid too and can respond.

However, okcupid does not charge anything. Its both different and fun. It allows you to send all the email you want for free. Look me up over there, I am registered as n4mwd2. Send me an email as soon as you register.
Reply:It is as much of a gamble as it is meeting someone at a singles bar; more times than not, it is going to be match not ending in love.

You might feel you have a connection with someone you meet on a dating site, then you talk to them on the phone and they say a thing or two that causes you to have reservations..then you meet them in person and find out they a one-date wonder. That is most of the time.

There are a small percentage where they actually click when they talk on phone and actually click in person. I had a friend that was chatting with a fella thousands of miles away for a few years and they clicked, met and clicked, got married and still several years later are happily married.
Reply:Yes it can work, but many people lie and hide the truth to get what they want on the internet, and it makes good honest people hard to pick out in the crowd. I've tried e-harmony, and met a couple of interesting people.... don't knock it until you try it
